kitty sister

I know I'm jumping the gun a little bit here, but my birthday is less than 3 months away. I'm so sick of being 20. I can't wait. I already have the best present ever, my "sister" Carleen, bought me a ticket to go to Austin City Limits! I just spent the last hour looking at the line up drooling because I'm so fucking excited to see the following bands:

The Decemberist
Daniel Johnston
Kings of Leon
Dr. Dog
Bon Iver
Devotchka
The Felice Brothers
The Virgins
Deer Tick
Grizzly Bear
Ghostland Observatory
Arctic Monkeys
Girl Talk
Passion Pit
The Dodos
Sonic Youth
oh, and Eek-a-Mouse.

I also can't wait to see my sister, it's been almost a year since the last time I saw her. And i'll be 2-1!!!!!! shit, it's gunna be awesome!

floozie

I hung out with a cool person last night. He's the best cinematographer I've ever met. He's really funny. He has an air of confidence that is rare. I hardly know him. He hardly knows me. The mystery was wonderful... then it was gone. Why do boys do that? Things were great, I really liked him, but what made him think it was just alright to grab my hand and then try to kiss me a day after knowing each other? Call me old fashioned, but I like being best friends with someone and then proceeding to whatever may or may not come next.  I've fumbled hard and fucked up by jumping in like that and I want to be a better person, learn from my mistakes. Isn't that what it's all about? I guess I'll see what happens. Hope things are different this go around. More on this subject as it progresses.

p.s. Dawn and I found our new home. It's a stellar flat with a 60's vibe complete with a cheesy twinkly star chandler. Photos on the wayyyhaaayyy!

He's got a real pretty mouth...

Hillbillies are my inspiration for my new project. Well, not really. I found this amazing painting at the de Young titled "The Old Banjo" by William Keane. It's a still life of a Banjo, a peacock feather, a compass, a tie, and some old photos. It has so many great shapes that I can draw from and I can't wait to start the project for real now that i have my inspiration.

I love summer school so far, it's in a rush, like I always am. Things are looking up!

THE COSMOS

"Since, I'm a leg man..."- Michael Erdman

Astronomy= my new favorite thing, I can't wait to go to a place where I can actually see the stars. Erdman says it's the SEXIEST science. I hate the word sexy, it makes me feel uncomfortable, but i have to say teach is right.

More news: I met the coolest, mole-iest man on the street the other day. He came up to me right as I was getting on my bike. He told me all about how back home in Vietnam that he used to ride Hondas. I stepped in a puddle of oil right as I was about to start and couldn't kick it over to start the old piglet. He gave me a snotty rag to wipe off my shoe and starter...ewe, but still kind. I still couldn't start it so he started to push me down the middle of O'Ferrel st. Mind you, he looks about 70 and is somewhat over weight. I finally got it started and rode into the distance. What a nice person. I have more faith in this city because of that sweet snotty old asian man.

INEEDABOYFRIEND, anyone have Noel Fieldings digits?

I love wooden games that I buy at The Bayview Goodwill (for $2)

We looked at a cottage today and stayed at the open house with the lady that was showing the place to us for about an hour. It was adorable. perfect.

I am tortured ever tortured.

I guess I'm just a big baby.

This shit is bonkers:

check it.

"That's why I believe in MAGIC!"

Sorry Mom, but I've joined a gang... It's not like it sounds. It's just me and that crazy redheaded mermaid roommate of mine. We're going to call our selves the Wild Turkeys. We're going to cruise sick colored Honda CT90s all around SF. We're getting big. Watch out
world here comes a rafter of brightly colored hens!

Other notes: It's summer time and I don't give a Fuck. Colorado vs. California. Grandpa Joe is even cooler in real life apposed to the one in that movie about the weirdo in the chocolate factory.  Sarah Winchester, Here I Come! Don't worry, I'm not a ghost (yet).
